Talk, Listen & Learn

Even though HoardingUK was established in 2008, the team behind HoardingUK has been actively promoting awareness for many more years.

Satwant, Margaret and Megan established the first Hoarding support group in the UK in 2005! Still people travel from around the country to attend monthly.

Heather set up CloudsEnd to help people directly in their homes.  She and Andy both participated in high-profile ethical television shows.  There can be a double edge to these sorts of programmes, but both shows Obsessive Compulsive Hoarder and My Hoarder Mum and Me were both ground-breaking in their humanising of people dealing with extreme hoarding behaviour. Both shows promoted person-centred and empathic engagement.  A person, now being supported by HoardingUK, talked about the positive impact of Jasmine Harman’s recent appearance on an Irish morning programme.  This prompted her to contact HoardingUK to get support.

HoardingUK is committed to promoting factual, relevant and humanising information.

This sort of undertaking is at the core of our work.

Contact with us now is so much more focused on reaching out to people with hoarding problems. We are proud of this…but all of us need to do more.

Get involved.  Make a difference.  That’s how all things will become better…
