London E1 – Tower Hamlets Hoarding Peer Support Group

usually known as the Whitechapel Group

Where
LARC (London Action Resource Centre) 62 Fieldgate Street, Whitechapel, London E1 1ES

Use Google maps or phone Jane for directions.

When

2nd Sunday in the month

Time
Door opens 5pm, meeting starts 5.30pm. This gives time to get your tea or coffee.

There is no waiting list for this group. This is an open group, you don’t need to live in Tower Hamlets to attend.  We ask for a donation not compulsory (as we don’t receive funding) to pay a donation to LARC in lieu of rent.

The Whitechapel Group has a second group the Moving On Group focusing on clearing up, this is not a support group.  We use the book “CBT for Hoarding Disorder” Workbook version by David F. Tolin.  The book contains 16 chapters and we do one chapter each time we meet.  We meet 2 evenings a month at 7pm from September to April on Teams (like Zoom).  There is a commitment to attend every session, arrive on time and do your homework, you decide which tasks you do.  We also have a homework group which is optional, which meets every Saturday on WhatsApp at 5pm.  If you live near enough, it would be a good idea to attend the in person Hoarding Peer Support Group while you wait for a place in the Moving On Group.
