David Pearce, CEO of HUK
We are so delighted to welcome David Pearce into our team and look forward to his wisdom and expertise leading us into a new phase at HoardingUK.
“I have worked in the charity sector for over 20 years and before that in the commercial field. From small to large charities working locally, regionally, and abroad to large multi-national businesses, I have built up a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience learned over the years from these roles and hope I can use these to develop HUK.
During the pandemic I came across many people who had hoarding issues which led me coming interested in this area and why people hoard. Therefore, I am really excited by the opportunity of joining Hoarding UK and being part of the team in supporting people affected by Hoarding issues and raising the charities profile.
On a personal level, I am married with three children, seven grandchildren which keeps me and my wife very busy (and broke), so spending time on my little boat, doing some gardening and when possible, travelling, helps me relax.
I hope to meet as many people as possible to learn more, and deepen my understanding of hoarding as a mental health condition, and fully integrate myself in HoardingUK, hopefully to assist people overcome the issues caused through hoarding. ”
